Outdoor activities in the Waseca area!
The Waseca community boasts a wide range of outdoor recreation activities that can keep everyone moving and enjoying the outdoors.
The City of Waseca maintains 10 different parks inside the city limits.
You will find tennis and volleyball courts as well as softball, soccer, baseball, basketball, horseshoe pits and large open areas for just spending time outside. Play equipment, picnic shelters, bandstands and more make our parks a great place to gather with friends and family.
Clear Lake Park borders the beautiful lake and connects to the new trail. A public swimming beach awaits those who want to splash in the water or play in the sand. New tennis and basketball courts.
Northeast Park is our community’s newest park and houses our new outdoor waterpark. You can also enjoy the newest baseball/softball field along with soccer, volleyball and new basketball courts.A new parking lot and playground equipment will also welcome visitors.
Waseca county has over 530 acres of park land that is open for your enjoyment. Courthouse Park has 175 acres of beautiful scenery that has walking, cross country skiing and horseback riding trails. There are 3 picnic shelters and several camping sites available.
There are 2 lakes inside the city limits of Waseca as well. Boating, skiing, sailing, fishing and swimming have given Clear Lake a reputation as one of the best lakes in Southern Minnesota. A new bike/walking trail gives everyone a chance to enjoy the scenery around this wonderful lake. Two public boat landings make it easy to access and Maplewood Park has some great trails to explore and enjoy.
Hunting the area fields and forests can be productive as well. Pheasants, ducks, geese, turkey, deer and numerous other small games species can be found in abundance. Hundreds of acres of public hunting land will challenge even the most experienced hunters.
In addition to the Clear Lake trail, there are miles of walking and biking trails woven through the Waseca Community. The network of trails gives people a chance to see more of our community while enjoying a walk or bike ride.
Baseball and softball fields are present in every corner of town and offer teams and families a place to fine tune their skills. Our 18 hole semi-private golf course on the north side of Clear Lake will challenge the abilities of all golfers.
