Old Fashioned Ice Harvest at Clear Lake Park – sponsored by Waseca Historical Society, Farmamerica and Akorn Creations – FREE – open to area schools and the general public 9:30 to 2:30.  Preserved ice’ is used at Chautauqua events on July 4th.

Dinner at Waseca VFW Club 5:00 – 7:30.  Purchase tickets from any SLEIGH & CUTTER member or at the door = $10.00 Free dance starts at 8:30 featuring LIGHTNING FLATS -Miss Waseca County Sleigh & Cutter - MOLLY JEWISON and Miss South Central AJA MAJKRZAK will open the dance at 8:30
Announce Frosty and Medallion winners at 9:30.

• Parade at 1:00 –  Grand Marshals: Miss Waseca County Sleigh and Cutter MOLLY JEWISON and Miss South Central AJA  MAJKRZAK.
• Parade attractions: JESSE JAMES GANG; CANNON OLD WEST SOCIETY;  and 80+ horse units.
• Senior Citizens pfeffer card tournament 10AM to noon (Public Invited). Turkey lunch from 11:00 to 2:00
• Performances by The CANNON OLD WEST SOCIETY at the Senior Citizens Center, Latham Place, and downtown Waseca
• Free hot lunch served to parade participants after the parade.
• KRUGER MEMORIAL – MINNESOTA SNOWMOBILE DRAG RACING SERIES (MSDRS) on Clear Lake. Contact Theron 507 461 2903 or  Travis 763 238 3439  Registration 8 – 10AM  – races start at 1:00

  Saturday March 27: SLEIGH & CUTTER CHILDREN’S DREAM CATCHER 6th Annual Fund raiser - Bingo starts at 3:00 at KATIE O’LEARY’S. Baked goods and merchandise auction after bingo. Meat raffles every half hour

Waseca’s annual winter festival gets bigger and better each year with activities taking place on 12-14 days over three and sometimes four weekends. This festival was created in 1950 in Waseca and continues to entertain young and old. Miss Waseca County Sleigh & Cutter reigns over all events including the Saturday parade. Horse owners from around the state bring magnificent horses of every type imaginable to Waseca for the parade down State Street. Only animal powered units and riders are allowed. Sleighs, cutters, bobsleds and many types of wagons and buggies can be seen.

The festival also includes a dinner and dance, dart tournament, card games, children’s art project, hockey tournament, the search for a hidden Medallion, the unveiling of the winner of the Identify Frosty the Snowman Contest, M S D R S sanctioned snowmobile drag races, live entertainment, authentic ice harvest, ice golf, ice curling, youth ice fishing, family movie night, dodge ball, kick ball, skydiving, snow sculpting and more!
Most of the events are free! Many restaurants and clubs offer special meals and entertainment. The parade starts at 1:00 on the second Saturday in February.
