Farmamerica
Farmamerica, the Minnesota Agricultural Interpretive Center, is located on a 120-acre site in Waseca County.
It was commissioned by the Minnesota Legislature in 1978. In 2000, a new Visitor Center was dedicated to provide an entrance to an agricultural journey to the 1850s farm, a one-room schoolhouse, a country church, a feed mill, a blacksmith shop and town hall and a 1930s farm.
2010 Events
May 8 – Springtime on the Farm
June, July August – Self-guided walking tours (9 am – 2 pm)
- Walk the one-mile Time Lane Trail Tuesday through Friday.
- Experience the changes over time from the prairie and 1850s farm site to the 1930s farm site and beyond. Enjoy the animals and exhibits on display at the sites.
August 1 – Summer Open House
- Reunions (sites to be reserved in advance)
- Dad’s Belgian Waffles breakfast from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
- Church service in the historic church, Time TBD
- All sites open and free to the public from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
September 11 & 12 – Farmamerica Fall Fair
- Enjoy a fun packed weekend for the entire family at Farmamerica.
- Veiw the old fashioned tracors on display and demonstrations as you tour the grounds.
- The Corn Maze will be open.
- Exhibits and activities are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. both days.

October 15 & 16, October 22 & 23 – Haunted Corn Maze
- This Halloween event for big kids has become more popular each year.
- Ghosts and goblins are on duty from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. each night.
- Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- Come and get lost in the dark.
October 30 – All Hallows Eve
- Celebrate an old fashioned Halloween with pumpkin carving, magic shows, and safe tricks and treats.
- This event is for young children and their parents and grandparents.
- 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m.
November 28 – Christmas Quilt Show
- Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
