Cold winter air and magic everywhere is the spirit of Christmas.

christmas_wreathAAH!! It is good to be a child sometimes, and never a better time than at Christmas! A tradition that has become known in the community is Christmas in our City festivities.  Festive holiday wreaths, banners and trees lit along Main Street brightens and livens our community for all to enjoy!

Children and parents are invited to celebrate Christmas in our City. The Waseca Area Chamber of Commerce “Waseca Proud Committee” has continued the holiday spirit and organized the lighting of the Courthouse trees and festivities of Santa’s arrival. Enjoy holiday shopping thru out the city,

  • Christmas Parade downtown starting at 1 pm, free horse drawn wagon rides from 1:15-4:30 pm around Trowbridge Park,
  • pictures taken with Santa and kids shop with elves from 1:30-4:30 at the Waseca Senior Center. Enjoy popcorn, candy and much more provided by the Girl Scouts.
  • As the afternoon draws to a close at 5:00 pm you can join the caroling and enjoy some hot chocolate at the Courthouse. Sharri’s School of Dance will perform. There will be dancing and caroling. Miss Waseca Sleigh and Cutter and Miss South Central Minnesota will join the Mayor as he and Santa start the countdown 10-9-8-7…!!

Once again the colored lights sparkle, lighting up the Courthouse trees for Christmas in our City for all the community and visitors to enjoy during the holiday season.
